Christine Enriquez
Christine Enriquez is currently a resident of Rochester, Minnesota. Christine has been tattooing professionally since 2007. She started out at Top Cat, and then did an apprenticeship at Tatu Royale. Afterwards she worked for Persona Studios and Black Lagoon. She returned to Top Cat and now currently commutes back and forth between Tatu Royale and Top Cat. She enjoys working at both shops, and the variety that is provided to her in the way of tattooing.
Christine has always been an artist and she is skilled in drawing, painting, graffiti, air brushing, stencil making, 3D sculpture, and pretty much any other medium that she can get her hands on. One of the reasons she got into tattooing was because tattooing was just another unexplored art form to her. She wanted to test this new medium and she excelled at it. She loves the bond that is created when she expresses both the thoughts of herself and those of her clients in their skin. What started as almost a hobby, and then a way to survive, became her passion.
Christine excels in many types of tattooing, and does not have a particular specialty, but she e
njoys doing highly realistic images and complex lettering. She loves doing tattoos with meaning, and is able to make your tattooing experience both professional and enjoyable.
Christine’s artwork takes inspiration from many people, but most of all from her family. Most of her family practices one art form or another. These included painting, sculpture, photography, and the art of being a master chef. She was immersed in art most of her childhood and felt inspired to explore all art forms.
Many people inspired Christine to become a tattoo artist including Hanna Aitchison, Guy Aitchison, Kari Barba, Megan Hooglan, Eric Schandelmeier, Scotty Monster, MissArianna, Jen of Jen's Side Show Tattoo, Chad Gregerson, Chad Bowman, and Thom Strom, Christine is also inspired by the work of other famous artists such as Salvador Dali, Oliviero Toscani, Alfonse Mucha, H. R. Giger, Vincent Van Gogh, and Banksy.
Christine’s word to the wise:
A tattoo is a big commitment, so make sure you know what you want and let your tattoo artist know what you want so that there is a clear understanding between you.
Also thank you to Tatu Royale for your Love and Support over the years!
