Chad Gregerson (8-12-1967 – 9-16-2010)
Chad Gregerson passed away on September 16th 2010. He was a great artist and friend. He is continually missed and can never be replaced in our shop or hearts.
Chad had been tattooing for over twenty five years when he passed away due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Chad specialized in custom work that combined his artistic skill, considerable knowledge of tattooing, and his customers' desire for his unique style. After owning and working in several shops Chad decided to open Tatu Royale here in Winona, Minnesota, where his past customers came from miles away to get the caliber of work done on them that Chad provided.
Chad worked with your skin to give you an excellent and relaxing experience whether it was your first tattoo or your fiftieth. He specialized in cover-up tattooing – making a better and more complete image from on old piece. He was also skilled in reconstructive tattooing as well, for hiding scars and the creation of a more symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Chad was a very popular artist here at Tatu Royale, and was usually booked about a month in advance. He was loved by his family, coworkers, and his customers. We will dearly miss him. We will keep his legacy alive by using everything that he taught us to continue providing Winona with exceptional artwork and customer service.
At his memorial and at the benefit that took place, many people came to show their support to both Tatu Royale and its employees, and to his family. We all want to thank everyone who participated in the celebration of the life of Chad Gregerson. We continue to miss him.
