Amado RodriguezAmado Cortez Rodriguez

Amado Cortes is our newest tattoo artist here at Tatu Royale.  He is from San Bernardino, California, but has resided in Rochester, Minnesota for many years.  Amado has been tattooing since 2008, at Top Cat of Rochester, MN.  He now works at both Top Cat and Tatu Royale of Winona.

Amado is a great artist and he has, and still explores many different forms of art, including graffiti, painting, stenciling, silk screening and drawing.  He first became inspired to be a tattoo artist by his brother.  His brother was a tattoo artist himself, and Amado found himself always in and near the shop.  It was a lifestyle for him that seemed natural and rewarding.  He was greatly inspired by the west coast artists that he grew up around.  Amado enjoys doing all styles of tattooing, but he enjoys most to do black and grey stylistic realism, custom lettering, and free hand style.

Amado

Amado’s artwork is inspired by artists such as Bob Tyrell, Jose Lopez, Diam, Escher, and Chet Zar. He was also inspired by the artists at Cool Cat Tattoo, Neeko, Roman, Mike Cole, Thomas Titus, Eric Schandelmeier, Chad Gregerson, Megan Hoogland and many other local and non local artists and tattoo artist that he has met in his life. He has a wealth of experiences that fuel his artwork.

Amado wishes to continue being a part of the tattooing community by becoming more involved.  He wishes to get out there and go to more conventions to meet the great artists that make up the tattooing world.  He wants to continue learning and adapting his technique to provide his clients with the best quality of artwork.  As a portrait artist, he wishes to expand on that into tattooing, making it another specialty that he excels in.

Amado leaves you with these words as you step into the world of the modified:
A tattoo is a life time investment and I would like to reassure all my clients and friends that I am fully dedicated to creating the best artwork for their lifetime, to ensure their happiness.  Though your tattoo is on your body, through the act of tattooing, we share a unique moment that will last forever and it is important to me that it is a positive and great experience for both of us!
